5 Reasons Why SHOT Show Attendees Will Be Returning in 2013

While reviewing our post-SHOT Show survey, we noted that the vast majority of our attendees are completely or very satisfied with SHOT Show’s ability to deliver against their top five reasons for attending:

While we couldn’t be happier with the continually improving approval rating and customer validation that the SHOT Show truly is the one place you can see everyone and everything to give you a competitive edge, we aren’t about to rest on our laurels. NSSF, Reed Exhibitions and Sands Expo are working together to deliver the best possible SHOT Show experience and return on investment for the industry. Stay tuned here for more details on these improvements in the coming months.

  1. non dealers or private individuals should not be allowed in the show ! it crowds the vendors booths so it becomes almost impossible to gather all the info on products and it allows those people the wholesale prices of the products. we also pay a substantial amount in dues where they pay nothing but the admission cost.

    1. We agree that those not involved in the industry should not attend.  Please help us encourage retailers and exhibitors NOT to bring non-buyers to the show.

  2. Be careful when you say “non-dealers” should not be allowed.  I am a manufacturer and dues paying NSSF member.  Should I be excluded?

  3. You have to be affilliated with the industry in some way to get into the show. The general public is NOT allowed into the show, so where Bill is getting his information is suspect. EVERYONE that I saw or spoke to was in some way involved in the industry according to the badges I saw. From buyers to reps to employees. In the Law Enforcement area, I saw quite a few LEO’s but according to Bill, they should not be allowed to see the products for THEIR use because they are not dealers. Pure BS.  I think it is great that the show increases in attendance every year and I welcome more folks seeing what the vendors have to offer. I stand in line like everyone else to meet the distributors that my company uses.

    1. Bill may be talking about vendor employees. I don’t have a problem with how many employees someone brings, but I heard lots of grumbles about that.

  4. I have to admit I find these survey results interesting…..my company, who has been to SHOT for the past 9 years and all the other vendors we spent substantial time with complained about the venue. We had much better shows in Florida and elsewhere. I think someone may only be reporting the happy data.

    1. Not the case Scott.  Satisfaction with this year’s show exceeded the last time we were in Orlando and in the Las Vegas Convention Center.  We make data based business decisions to ensure a vibrant show for our industry.

    2. I couldn’t agree with you more!!!  I hear more complaints about the venue than I do good things at the Show.

    3. I have been an exhibitor at the Shot Show for the past 8 years and no one will listen.  Two years ago our booth was moved due to “opening up a space for trucks to come in” and told our company would be listed in the updated sheet inserted into the books at the Show.  We weren’t even listed so many potential buyers didn’t even know we were there because we were accidently left out.  Spend so much money on a booth and not even be listed as an exhibitor!

  5. As a business owner a like the idea general public not aloud. I have to put-up with people giving out the wholesale cost of things and they work for other FFL owners.
