NSSF Names Las Vegas-based ConvExx as SHOT Show Management Partner

After a thorough national search involving the trade show industry’s top management companies, we have selected ConvExx as our new SHOT Show management partner. ConvExx replaces longtime NSSF partner Reed Exhibitions.

Based in Las Vegas, ConvExx is privately held and has produced more than 200 shows and events, including the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show. The SEMA Show is ranked as the fourth largest trade show in North America (SHOT Show is ranked 16th) by Trade Show Executive magazine with 2,250 exhibitors, 135,000 attendees and more than 1 million net square feet of exhibit space.

ConvExx offers a unique combination of extensive large-show and Las Vegas experience, which will serve our exhibitors and attendees well.

By taking on the SHOT Show, ConvExx will now manage two of the top five trade shows in Las Vegas — SHOT and the SEMA Show.

We’re excited to have ConvExx on board as our new management partner, and so are they. How excited are they? The ConvExx team flew in last Sunday evening and spent the early part of last week meeting with us here in Newtown before taking a redeye back to Las Vegas just in time for the traditional annual celebration of our nation’s birthday.

What else should you know about ConvExx? Within hours of being notified that they had been selected, ConvExx Chairman Chuck Schwartz inquired about NSSF voting membership, and upon learning that voting member applicants must be a supporting member for a minimum of one year, ConvExx joined NSSF as a supporting member.

Many of the ConvExx staff enjoy shooting and some are members of the National Rifle Association. And, finally, you should know that in our press release announcing the selection of ConvExx, Chairman Chuck Schwartz said, “The SHOT Show is one of the premier trade show events and we are proud to be associated with NSSF and the shooting sports industry.”

That’s a welcome statement to all of us involved with the show, and we welcome ConvExx’s commitment to NSSF and to our industry.
