SHOT Show Golf Event Raises $70,000 for Military Groups

I’m happy to report that our pre-SHOT Show Birdies for the Brave golf outing this past weekend at TPC Las Vegas raised $70,000 for eight military homefront groups.

Birdies for the Brave is a national military outreach initiative proudly supported by the PGA TOUR. It was founded by PGA TOUR pro Phil Mickelson and his wife, Amy.

A big thanks goes out to TPC Las Vegas General Manager Dan Hammell, Nicole Tassone and staff for an amazing job in making this event a resounding success.

Benefiting from the money raised will be these groups:

– Wounded Warrior Project supported by TOUR players Nick Watney, Boo Weekley, Frank Lickliter II, and Jason Gore.
– Homes for Our Troops supported by TOUR player Phil Mickelson.
– Special Operations Warrior Foundation supported by TOUR player Phil Mickelson.
– Operation Homefront supported by TOUR player Corey Pavin.
– Naval Special Warfare Foundation supported by TOUR players Jerry Kelly, Vijay Singh, and Frank Lickliter II.
– Military Warriors Support Foundation supported by TOUR player Ted Purdy.
– United Through Reading supported by TOUR player Rory Sabbatini.
– Green Beret Foundation supported by TOUR player Bubba Watson.

NSSF was proud to support this event, and we thank all of our sponsors and everyone that came out to the course to show their support for these organizations.
